Legendary country of tea, the Japanese produce most of their teas at the foot of Mount Fuji and their speciality is green tea. Like all green teas, Japanese teas are recommended for their healthgiving virtues.
Four provinces distinguish themselves for their prestige, importance and quality :
Shizuoka, Kyoto, Fukuoka et Kagoshima.
These teas are plucked from April to October. Japanese teas can last a remarkably long time, provided that they are kept cool, so it is important to keep them in the fridge.
Green teas are recognised for the strength of their typical aroma, bringing great freshness to the palate with vegetable notes, and the smell of the sea.
